Doença de Chagas, Eventos Adversos a Medicamentos, Interações medicamentosas
Resumo
Introdução: Caracterizada como doença tropical negligenciada (OMS), a doença de Chagas possui alto impacto na morbimortalidade e representa uma das quatro maiores causas de morte por doenças parasitárias no Brasil. A condição clínica dos pacientes acometidos pela doença tornam o tratamento farmacológico e a terapêutica complexos, o que traduz um expressivo aumento do risco de um Evento Adverso a Medicamento (EAM), exigindo assim, uma farmacovigilância intensificada. Por sua vez, o serviço de farmácia clínica pode contribuir para a melhoria da segurança do tratamento e otimizar a farmacoterapia. Objetivo: Descrever os EAM previsíveis pelo farmacêutico clínico na população estudada. Material e métodos: Foi realizado um estudo observacional com recrutamento sequencial de participantes, após aceitação da participação e assinatura de Termo de Consentimento Livre e Esclarecido. Foram elegíveis para esse projeto pacientes admitidos na enfermaria de um instituto de referência em infectologia, localizado no Rio de Janeiro, com idade superior ou igual a 18 anos, com tempo de internação maior que 24h e usuários de medicamentos nas primeiras 48h de internação. Os dados foram obtidos a partir das prescrições e prontuário eletrônico dos participantes e posteriormente registrados no Software de pesquisa REDCap. Resultados: A amostra de 23 pacientes com doença de Chagas do estudo totalizou 116 EAM que se dividem entre: 80 interações medicamentosas, 18 erros de dose, 9 erros de aprazamento, 5 erros de posologia e 4 outros resultados. Conclusão: Considerando o acometimento clínico dos pacientes chagásicos, a amplitude do tratamento dá-se conforme a gravidade da doença, contribuindo para o maior risco de EAM. O estudo direciona a necessidade de auxílio ao serviço da farmácia clínica, com uso de ferramentas que possam prevenir possíveis eventos relacionados a medicamentos.
