Anestesiologistas, Síndrome de Burnout, Infecção por coronavirus, COVID-19
Resumo
Introdução: Em todo o mundo, os anestesiologistas têm trabalhado por longas horas no atendimento a pacientes graves com COVID-19, com o objetivo de limitar as consequências da doença. Associados a estes fatores, o sofrimento psicológico, fadiga, estigma, a violência física e psicológica e o Burnout tem afetado esses profissionais. Objetivo: Analisar o impacto da pandemia COVID-19 no aspecto psicológico do anetsesiologista e residentes de anestesiologia do estado do Pará. Metodologia: Estudo de campo, descritivo e transversal, com profissionais anestesiologistas e residentes de anestesiologia em atividade nos hospitais do Estado do Pará, durante a pandemia COVID-19, credenciados na SAEPA, por meio de aplicação de questionário eletrônico. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de protocolo validado internacionalmente denominado “Maslach Burnout Inventory”. Resultados: Participaram 189 profissionais, sendo 136 anestesistas (72.0%) e 53 residentes em anestesiologia (28.0%), com predomínio do sexo masculino (54.0%). A idade variou entre 21 anos e acima de 37 anos. Os residentes que participaram foram, em sua maioria do 1º ano de residência (41.5%). Com respeito ao vínculo empregatício, a maioria exerce suas atividades no âmbito público e privado (60.3%). A maioria atuou em UTI no período pandêmico (63.0%). Na aplicação do inventário de Burnout foi identificada a presença da síndrome em 77.2% dos profissionais. Ao comparar a classificação da síndrome entre os profissionais, houve predominância de 90.6% em Residentes. Na classificação do inventário houve pequena proporção de anestesistas que não apresentaram nenhum índice da síndrome (11.8%). Conclusão: Os resultados obtidos estão em consonância com literatura. Assim, faz- se necessário o constante monitoramento da saúde física e mental destes profissionais, nas primeiras manifestações dos sintomas, são necessárias intervenções para que não haja evolução. Sugere-se acompanhamento psicológico sistemático e efetivo para esses profissionais.
