COMUNIDADES RIBEIRINHAS, IMPACTO AMBIENTAL, SAÚDE ÚNICA, UNIDADE DE CONSERVAÇÃO, ZOONOSES
Resumo
Introdução: o município de Guaraqueçaba está localizado no litoral do Paraná, dentro da Área de Proteção Ambiental de Guaraqueçaba. Existem inúmeras comunidades tradicionais caiçaras nessas áreas de proteção, culminando com a entrada e proliferação de gatos domésticos na região. O aumento descontrolado desses animais exóticos vem ocasionando impactos sanitários e ambientais negativos à fauna. Os gatos são uma das principais espécies invasoras do mundo, atuando como superpredadora em ilhas, além de ter papel importante na transmissão e manutenção de zoonoses. O manejo populacional é útil para essas situações e deve ser empregado com práticas humanitárias. Objetivos: realizar ações de saúde única para o manejo populacional de gatos domésticos (Felis silvestris catus) das comunidades tradicionais de difícil acesso pertencentes ao município de Guaraqueçaba, Paraná, Brasil. Materiais e métodos: o estudo contemplou três etapas: reuniões de planejamento e alinhamento com o setor público; ações clínicas em Taquanduva e Vila das Peças e mutirão de castração na Barra do Superagui; análise dos dados gerados durante as ações clínicas e mutirão. Resultados: na ação clínica realizada em Taquanduva, foram atendidos domiciliarmente nove gatos, sendo 55% fêmeas e 44% machos. 100% eram sem raça definida, íntegros, apresentavam puliciose e não haviam sido vacinados ou recebido antiparasitários interno e externo há pelo menos um ano. 100% dos gatos foram vacinados para raiva e receberam antiparasitário interno. No mutirão de castração, foram atendidos onze gatos. Apenas 9,1% não foi castrado. 100% os animais eram sem raça definida, sendo 63,6% machos e 36,4% fêmeas. Além disso, 75% possuíam entre um e dois anos e 33,3% já recebeu contraceptivo injetável. Não houve nenhuma complicação pós-operatória. 100% dos gatos foram identificados com microchip. Na ação clínica na Vila das Peças, nenhum gato possuía idade maior do que quatro anos, 73,3% eram fêmeas, 80% têm acesso externo sem supervisão, 40% já recebeu contraceptivo inibidor de cio e 66,6% apresentava puliciose. 100% dos gatos receberam antiparasitário interno. Conclusão: a redução do crescimento da população dos gatos e a manutenção da sanidade desses animais, atendem às demandas das comunidades e contribuem para a redução do intenso impacto ambiental gerado em unidades de conservação.
