ABORDAGEM FISIOTERAPÊUTICA EM PACIENTES ACOMETIDOS POR TUMOR MALIGNO DE PRÓSTATA E TESTÍCULOS

Resumo
Introdução: De todos os tumores malignos detectados, a maior parte deles originam-se na próstata e nos testículos, que somados atingem uma proporção muito maior que os cânceres de pulmão e de cólon, com maior incidência em indivíduos que apresentam baixas condições socioeconômicas. Objetivo: Verificar a abordagem fisioterapêutica no âmbito preventivo e de cuidados paliativos nas neoplasias malignas da próstata e testículos. Material e Métodos: Foram selecionados estudos relacionados a fisioterapia e neoplasias de próstata e testículos, utilizando-se as bases de dados eletrônicos do Scientific Eletronic Livrary Online (Scielo®) e Literatura Latino Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS) na limitação temporal de 2005 a 2019, e os descritores usados foram: Fisioterapia; Neoplasias da Próstata; Neoplasias Testiculares; Prevenção Primária, disponíveis no site dos Descritores em Ciências de Saúde (DECS). Resultados: Foram verificados como tratamento preventivo e de cuidados paliativos, ações voltadas para autoexame, limitação da exposição a agentes causais e fatores de riscos, reabilitação de complicações respiratórias e motoras por meio de recursos eletrotérmicos, exercícios respiratórios, terapia manual e exercícios de reeducação para os músculos do assoalho pélvico, eficazes tanto para a manutenção do tônus muscular, quanto na prevenção de contraturas e incontinência urinária pós prostatectomia radical, reduzindo o quadro álgico, sendo a dor uma das principais e mais frequentes queixas do paciente oncológico. Conclusão: O fisioterapeuta detém recursos exclusivos de sua profissão, capazes de manter a capacidade funcional, autonomia e independência de pacientes acometidos por câncer de próstata e testículos, proporcionando consequentemente, melhoria da sintomatologia e qualidade de vida dos mesmos.
