ATENÇÃO FARMACÊUTICA, CÂNCER, PROFISSIONAL FARMACÊUTICO, CUIDADO EM SAÚDE, Tatiana da Silva Sempé
Resumo
Introdução: De acordo com o Instituto Nacional de Câncer, o número estimado de mortes causadas por condições cancerosas em 2020 foi ao todo em torno de 200.000 para homens e mulheres. Dessa forma, é de extrema importância a inserção do profissional farmacêutico clínico na equipe multidisciplinar no cuidado de pacientes com câncer a fim de melhorar a condição de saúde desses pacientes, reduzir o número de óbitos e auxiliar na prevenção de novos casos. Objetivos: O objetivo do estudo foi avaliar a importância do papel do farmacêutico em equipes de saúde e a sua contribuição para melhorar a qualidade de vida de pacientes oncológicos. Material e Método: Trata-se de um qualitativo e descritivo realizado a partir de revisão integrativa da literatura em bases de dados de artigos científicos que abordam o tema em questão, SciELO e PubMed, entre o período de 2016 a 2021. Resultados: A atuação do farmacêutico no cuidado de pacientes oncológicos é um fator decisivo para a prevenção de novos casos de neoplasias, atuando no diagnóstico precoce e promoção da educação em saúde, além de auxiliar no manejo da dor resultante do tratamento quimioterápico e alinhamento da farmacoterapia de melhor custo-benefício, principalmente ao prevenir possíveis interações medicamentosas, efeitos colaterais e intoxicações, especialmente em pacientes polimedicados. Conclusão: O profissional farmacêutico mostrou-se essencial como educador em saúde, promovendo o diagnóstico precoce e acompanhamento de pacientes com câncer. É necessário uma formação qualificada desses profissionais e disseminação de informações que orientem pacientes com câncer e que possibilitem uma repercussão social sobre o tema.
